How you can give Hope from Home

Updated: Apr 13, 2021

Missions work is something we do at Buckner International. With operations in Texas and six international countries, we see firsthand some of the greatest needs in impoverished communities. Buckner organizes mission trips for churches and individuals desiring to go be the hands and feet of Jesus to people who may not always see hope and love in action. Due to COVID-19, we had to cancel mission trips scheduled for this summer, yet the needs for service to vulnerable people remain. And unfortunately, these preexisting needs have been even more impacted by the coronavirus affecting our world.

Buckner's missions leaders, who are so passionate about helping those in need and shining a light so others may learn about the needs in international locations, wanted to do something during the pandemic to help people understand how help can still be given to the various needs in the countries where trips were canceled. On Thurs., May 14, I will be among other passionate servant leaders to discuss opportunities to provide "Hope from Home" to vulnerable populations in international countries and even domestic locations. I encourage you to join in the conversation and learn about what the needs are, how help can still be given during a pandemic, and truly understand what life is like in impoverished areas where hope is so greatly needed.

Visit buckner.org/missions to register for the first webinar, "Global Days of Prayer." Each subsequent week, we will spotlight a specific country or domestic location where missions work is needed.
